"Organized Chao" would best describe how this course went.

Main Lesson Learned

This section explains the main lesson I took from this course.

Most weeks were smoother than others, but almost every weekly activity pushed me to learn something new. It wasn't always easy to figure out all the tools and resources, but it taught me that professional communication is more than just speaking properly. There are many different ways to communicate professionally, and each one takes practice. Looking back, the "organized chaos" helped me grow and become more confident in how I communicate.

Additional Tools & Resources

Below explains the outside resources and tools I used.

Internet

Throughout this course, we were required to use a variety of tools and resources, many of which were new to me. To better understand the assignments and feel more prepared, I often relied on familiar methods. One of the primary resources I used was the internet, where I researched examples and proper steps to complete each task accurately.

Padlet.com

Collaboration is essential in an educational setting, and Padlet provided an effective way to engage with classmates in real time. It allowed us to exchange ideas, view different perspectives, and better understanding how others approached the assignments.

Real Professionals

Having real-life professionals come in to help us with our cover letters and resumes was extremely valuable. They provided professional advice in supportive way that never felt intimidating. Their guidance also helped me understand what employers look for and how they may perceive you during the hiring process. This reinforced how important it is to represent yourself professionally every day.

What Challenged Me

Here's a brief summary of the challenges I faced.

Overall, the course material was challenging in different ways. The job-search section, specially creating a cover letter and resume, was the most difficult for me. Although I have applied to jobs before, completing these documents in a more professional setting pushed me out of my comfort zone. Despite the challenge, I'm grateful for the opportunity because it helped me become more confident and better prepared for future job applications.

What I Enjoyed the Most

Here is an overview of what I found the most enjoyable.

The part I enjoyed the most this semester was creating the blogs. Although I initially felt overwhelmed and unsure how I would handle the weekly blog assignments, I eventually found that the blog format made the work more engaging than traditional essay or presentation assignment. Writing each post allowed me to communicate in a new way, express my ideas more confidently, and improve my skills while trying something different. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience and opportunity to grow.

What I will Take Away from This

This section explains what I will carry forward from this experience.

What I will take away from this experience is the new knowledge and skills I gained. Using tools like the Prezi and creating infographics introduced me to resources I had never used before and will benefit me moving forward. I also learned how small professional habits, such as sending a simple thank-you email, can make a strong impression. I truly appreciate all the guidance and experience you shared with us.

Growing Personally & Professionally

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world," a quote famously attributed to Nelson Mandela, emphasizes the importance of personal growth and learning. This class reflects that message perfectly, as it helped me grow both personally and professionally.
